The City of Chandler Community Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Recreation Assistant (part-time, temporary, non-benefited) for our Fall Camps. This position serves at the discretion of the department director. The position is scheduled to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, during Fall Camp, which runs from September 21 through October 2.
Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

Our new team member will have a strong passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We’re seeking someone to instruct the youth, implement planned activities, and supervise children ages 5-13 during school intersessions. The ideal candidate will be energetic, creative, and capable of using independent judgment while managing youth programs. .

Minimum qualifications
• Some High School; and
• 1 year of experience in a recreation environment; and
• A First Aid/CPR Certification is required within 90 days of employment; and
• A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Desired qualifications
• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with parents regarding program policies, expectations, and participant-related matters.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced youth recreation program environment.
The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results.
