Security Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control access to company facilities, including logging visitors and escorting terminated associates.
  • Monitor and log vehicle traffic entering and exiting the premises.
  • Answer and direct phone calls after business hours, handling inquiries as needed.
  • Perform patrol rounds to ensure security and safety compliance.
  • Assist with emergency responses and contact appropriate agencies as required.
  • Operate and monitor video surveillance systems and maintain activity logs.
  • Verify truck/trailer deliveries and log details into the MMS system.
  • Open or close the facility as needed, including alarm and keypad procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Six months to 1 year of relevant experience; New York State Certification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in English are required.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit, reach, and communicate.
  • Must occasionally walk and lift/move up to 20 pounds.
  • Work environment noise level is moderate.

Schedule Options:

2nd Shift

  • Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
  • Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Pay: $20.00/hour + $1.50/hour shift differential

3rd Shift

  • Schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Hours: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Pay: $20.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift differential
