Code Enforcement Officer

Right-of-Way Inspection and Enforcement ManagerResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and supervise the activities of Right-of-Way Permitting and Enforcement Inspectors to ensure proper installation, maintenance, and restoration of improvements within the City's public right-of-way in accordance with approved permits, plans, specifications, and City standards.Coordinate with the Residents First Code Enforcement Administrator to prioritize, assign, and monitor 311 service requests, sidewalk complaints, and right-of-way-related inquiries for timely resolution.Assign, review, and monitor inspection workloads to ensure timely completion of inspections, investigations, enforcement activities, and permit-related assignments.Review daily inspection reports, enforcement reports, and related records for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with departmental procedures.Approve inspector mileage records, time sheets, and related documentation for accuracy and completeness.Assist in training, mentoring, and professional development of Right-of-Way Permitting and Enforcement Inspectors.Evaluate, inspect, and document the condition of sidewalks, pedestrian facilities, roadways, and other public infrastructure affected by permitted construction activities to verify compliance with applicable municipal standards, safety requirements, and permit conditions.Attend internal and external meetings and prepare reports, correspondence, presentations, and other communications as required.Provide administrative and technical leadership; train, mentor, and evaluate inspection staff; and assist the Section Chief in the daily administration and operation of the section.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited four‑year college or university in Business, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.Two (2) years of any combination of education, training, and experience in program administration.Ability to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds.Valid State of Ohio Driver's License.Preferred QualificationsExperience with right-of-way permitting, utility coordination, roadway construction, water and sewer infrastructure, contractor compliance, and/or municipal construction inspection.Experience supervising field inspection personnel, coordinating and scheduling inspection activities, resolving construction-related issues and disputes, and preparing or reviewing construction cost estimates.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel, and ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering standards.Knowledge of public infrastructure construction and maintenance, including water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, roadway, curb, sidewalk, streetscape, and related civil construction activities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
