The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a THREE, full time, Supervisory General Supply Specialists, (GG-2001-09), working at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) - Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), San Antonio, Texas

Salary ($62,629 - $81,423) based on experience

Recruitment, Relocation, & Retention Incentives may be available based on experience.

This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period.

Qualifications/Requirements:

In this position you will serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to the Element's work center, Materiel Management Section, Logistics Branch. Element personnel are responsible for identification, examination, classification, acceptance,

packaging, electrostatic discharge protection, storage, issue, and disposal/ demilitarization of controlled/sensitive wholesale depot assets transferred from worldwide field activities, maintenance activities and other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.

Mission areas/programs supported are Air Force (AF) and DoD Communication Security (COMSEC), national level Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), AF Force Protection, AF Technical Applications, AF Cyber (offensive/defensive), AF Bounty Hunter, and Cryptologic Modernization initiatives.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must be able to obtain & maintain a "Top Secret/SCI" Security clearance

This position is designated as a Drug Test Designated Position

This position may require a passing medical physical prior to appointment

Must possess a current and valid driver's license to obtain and maintain a military driver's license to operate forklifts and up to 2 ½ Ton vehicles.

Work environment involves moderate risk or discomforts which require special safety precautions. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear. Work is often performed in shop areas where it is uncomfortably warm, cool damp, or drafty. Working closely with others is essential.

Moderate lifting (15-44 lbs). Climbing use of legs and arms. Both legs required. Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously. Depth perception. Ability to distinguish basic colors. (Hearing aid permitted).

• Knowledge of and ability to apply laws, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies related to specialized expertise in supply and supply systems, and transportation functions, including the ability to maintain credibility with others on technical matters.

• Knowledge of distribution facilities and storage management functions and techniques to include structure, contents, codes, internal and external interfaces, update procedures, and uses of automated supply systems and databases.

• Knowledge of procedures and precautions in the maintenance and operation of equipment, and in the storage and movement of supplies and secure communications, to meet required security, safety, and environmental standards to include ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.

• Knowledge of applicable customer service standards to include knowledge of sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance or advice to resolve supply problems. Ability to use office automation tools and techniques to design and generate reports, briefing materials, and/or comparable documents.

• Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide others towards goal accomplishment while maintaining good working relations. Leadership ability includes the ability to coach, mentor and challenge subordinates; ability to adapt leadership style to variety of situations, and ability to model high stands of honesty, integrity, trust, openness, and respect for individuals by applying these values to daily behaviors.

• Ability to recognize, analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations, plan, present, and execute budgets; to analyze budget impacts on programs; and to forecast long-term funding requirements, and organize work and present results effectively through oral and written communications.
