The Agency Contact listed above will be able to provide specific benefits information for this position.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.U.S. citizen.Minimum 18 years of age.Valid driver's license with no more than five active points.Must enter an academy class before reaching 40th birthday.Physical FitnessAchieving and maintaining physical fitness is a top priority in the Cadet Candidate Program. The Cadet Candidate must complete the physical fitness assessment at least once a month and more frequently if needed in the following areas: 1.5‑mile endurance run time, total push‑ups in one minute, and total sit‑ups in one minute.Cadet Candidates must meet the 20th percentile of the Cooper Institute Standards prior to acceptance into the program.
