Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: offering basic comfort measures to help the patient relax and addressing the emotional needs of specific patients served, including the use of encouragement, distraction, coping strategies, cognitive stimulation activities, and de-escalation techniques within the scope of this role as appropriate.Monitors multiple patients via continuous video monitoring on site at Delnor Hospital. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing effective verbal redirection of designated remote continuous observation patients from engaging in risk behaviors and summoning appropriate staff via communication device/STAT Alert Alarm when appropriate.Intake operations to receive order, set up Artisight camera and enters patient info, receives hand off from unit staff - ensures camera is functioning properly and finally assigns patient to CVM tech.Discharge - ensure order is discontinued in EpicAssists with high acuity patienttrouble shoots with IT, artisight, epic, etcdata collection including per hospital and camera usagestaffing to include:daily assignment for next shiftliaison with staffing officebreak coverageoverall scheduling for assigned shiftleads shift huddlePrimary onboarding team member and will schedule orientation, facilitate check-ins and ensure competencies are completed timelyRequired Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentNorthwestern Medicine is an equal opportunity employer (disability, VETS) and does not discriminate in hiring or employment on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, gender identity, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation or any other protected status.Northwestern Medicine conducts a background check that includes criminal history on newly hired team members and, at times, internal transfers.
