Salary Range: Pay Grade 2 $17.00-$23.96
Shift Type: Full-Time
Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Fire & Security Systems Supervisor
EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas drivers' license.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Ability to write incident reports.
Experience:
• 3 year security guard experience preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Monitor safety and security of all district properties by patrolling campuses and responding to alarm calls during non-school hours and after hours calls
• Notify police, fire and other appropriate authorities of any situation requiring Immediate attention
• Assist law enforcement personnel if needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• None
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Demands:
• Writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Maintain emotional control under stress.
• Communicating well in both oral and written form.
Physical demands/environmental factors:
• Intermittent walking, sitting and standing.
• Reaching with hands and arms frequently repeating the same hand, arm or finger motion.
• Working overnight shift as well as on-call every other week or as needed.
