Duties
Provides advice, counsels, and/or instructs pertinent AOG personnel on security and administrative regulations, policies, and concerns.
Coordinates with support base entities and Group Directorates to collaborate on work-related changes that may affect their support or operations.
Coordinates the directives with all Group Directorates, affected base organizations, NSA, DIA, HQ AIA, and appropriate MAJCOM staff offices.
Establishes procedures for safeguarding Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) classified information.
Manages the SCI Personnel Security Program.
Establishes procedures to identify current unit members requiring updated security investigations.
Performs as the designated authorized requestor of personnel security investigations for members requiring a Top Secret – SCI clearance.
Prepares written justifications for individuals to receive access to SCI and submits requests for indoctrination to the appropriate MAJCOM.
Debriefs members when access is terminated. Maintains required documentation.
Forwards and receives individual security clearance verification.
Submits Behavioral Data Reports (BDRs) on SCI indoctrinated individuals to the appropriate MAJCOM SSO.
Ensures the affected individual is notified in writing of the withdrawal of security access, and that the SSF is coordinated through appropriate base agencies for notification purposes.
Establishes entry procedures to provide positive identifications and circulation control within the unit's restricted and controlled areas.
Participate in the Group anti-terrorism program and conduct required terrorist threat briefs.
Conducts periodic inspections, identifies deficiencies, and initiates immediate corrective action.
Establishes written agreements between the unit and the contractor's company establishing what services the unit's security office will provide to assigned government contractors.
Conducts comprehensive semi-annual security inspections of unit assets according to applicable directives.
Develops training goals to meet deployment requirements and HQ AIA/DIA, NSA, and Gaining Command inspection criteria.
Develops and recommends the appropriate special security budget for approval to the Commander on unit requirements and mission.
Performs other duties as assigned.
