Job Summary

Performs highly skilled work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of large, complex irrigation systems and their related components. Is responsible for the operation and maintenance of very sophisticated equipment utilized in the water distribution systems, which are necessary to operate the numerous irrigation systems and fountains located on City-owned property. Installs back-flows and controllers; operates locators , toners, trenchers, and Kubota tractors. Work is performed outdoors and employee is exposed to insects and weather conditions. Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed for accuracy, thoroughness, and compliance with instructions.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and three (3) years experience working in the irrigation or plumbing field required; or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Valid Florida Class B CDL preferred .

If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
- Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
- Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
- Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
- Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
