Airport Operations Technician

FlyUSA at Clearwater Executive Airport is looking for an enthusiastic Airport Operations Technician to join our team! As an Airport Operations Technician, your responsibilities will include providing top-notch customer service for both internal and external customers. The position will include minor to moderate repairs of airfield maintenance vehicles, fueling vehicles, fuel farm and lawn care vehicles. This position will be the sole owner of all lawn care, at the Clearwater Executive Airport. The position will include hangar utilization audits, hangar discrepancy tracking, Hangar PMI Inspections, and hangar repairs. This may include the coordination of third party contractors. This position will require the right person to cover the necessary repair functions for the Ground Service Equipment, Fueling Equipment, and Hangar Facilities at both locations. The selected candidate shall be granted use of a work vehicle as well as a tool stipend.
Location: Clearwater, FL (On-Site) and Tampa, FL (On-Site) Job Type: Full Time - 40 Hrs. Per Week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to aircraft owners and operators
- Perform aircraft fueling operations, as required.
- Assist with aircraft parking and towing, as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of fueling equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Maintain all greens areas of the airport complex, and all equipment pertaining to the management and upkeep of those spaces. Scheduling external vendors as required.
- Maintain all required airport lighting, signage and painting. Schedule approved vendors as required.
- Maintain all hangar facilities and subleased facilities per sublease agreement. Schedule approved vendors as required.
- Maintain all common space items including lighting, water and power. Schedule approved vendors as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in aviation or related field preferred
- Familiarity with aircraft fueling procedures and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous diesel mechanic and/or gasoline mechanic. Certified, or some certification preferred.
- Previous property management experience strongly preferred.
- Personally owned tooling to repair any of the required areas.
- Some college course work, or a combination of work and education, to a total of 4 years of direct experience in either aviation or verifiable automotive repair. Associate's degree, or bachelor's degree preferred.
