Job Description:
The Marina at Highland Lake in Winsted, CT, is seeking a skilled Marine Technician & Facilities Maintenance professional. We are a full-service marina offering boat sales, rentals, service, and storage.
At our marina, you'll have a unique opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the operations, from marine mechanics to facility maintenance. This key role offers diverse daily tasks and the chance to expand your skillset. On-the-job training is available for mechanically inclined individuals eager to join the marine industry.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on marine engines.
Perform routine maintenance.
Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repairs and providing updates.
Perform building maintenance/repairs, maintain grounds, assist with dock installation/removal; maintain marina professional appearance.
Support all aspects of the marina
Fleet maintenance of trucks, trailers, tractors
Qualifications:
Mechanical experience is preferred, but candidates with a strong aptitude for mechanics and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of marine engines/electrical systems is preferred.
Problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Computer and writing skills.
