Career Opportunity :
The Dispatcher provides administrative support to the transportation office focusing on logistics scheduling, shipping information and report generation. The Dispatcher also provides other clerical and administrative support.
Essential Job Functions :
Safety
Support Smurfit Westrock's safety initiatives and programs. Always maintain compliance with applicable safety rules and regulations and support team members with maintaining a safe workplace.
Logistics and Administration
- Communication with suppliers for load scheduling
- Administer billing, load allocations and trip tickets.
- Ensure all required paperwork has been completed and is in good order.
- Complete monthly generation reports for suppliers/vendors.
- Month end data entry.
- Customer Service via email and phone to assist customers/vendors with issues and requests.
- Assisting with sales and contract issues.
- Communicate with drivers to coordinate and confirm daily routes.
- Scale operations including data entry of all inbound/outbound loads into the system.
- Daily auditing of scale tickets
- Sends all monthly reporting to suppliers
- Performs other job duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Intermediate level ability with Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
- Preferred 1+ years of administrative experience.
- Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate courtesy and tact when interacting with other employees and customers.
- Good organization skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work on multiple administrative tasks; ability to effectively communicate department policies and procedures.
