ID Badge Specialist

Location: Baltimore, Maryland (Onsite)

Role Overview

As an ID Badge Specialist, you will assist in administering the employee identification process. This role is essential in maintaining a customer-oriented experience. The position requires a candidate who is comfortable with task-oriented work in a fast-paced environment and can serve a diverse body of customers, including in patient care settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide service as a point of contact for customer inquiries.
  • Use specific application software to create and print ID badges and other cards.
  • Distribute identification badges for staff, students, faculty, vendors, and contractors.
  • Process online and in-person transactions.
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and production of identification badges for large projects.
  • Keep management informed of trends, problems, and resolutions.
  • Ensure compliance with systemwide policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Track inventory, consumables, and maintain operational equipment.
  • Monitor and respond to customer requests via email, telephone, and in person.
  • Maintain daily and weekly statistics for quality control and process improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in administrative or customer service roles.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Keyboarding, spelling, grammar, and punctuation skills.
  • Competencies with computers and business machines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, Adobe, and various intranet content systems.
  • Communication skills to work effectively with all levels of staff and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work regular business hours with flexibility for special projects, which may include occasional early mornings or late evenings.
  • Willingness to travel to multiple work locations in the Baltimore area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • End-user experience with access control and identification badge systems or comparable technologies.
  • Comfort level with end-user applications, business systems, and technology such as smart cards, card readers, badging printers, and digital cameras.
