Security Officer
Desert Highlands Golf Club is in search of a security officer for their 3rd shift (overnights) (10 PM - 6 AM). Position is full time, 40 hour work week.
The security officer will provide professional security and customer relations services for membership and employees of the Desert Highlands Association in a professional manner.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Enforces all safety and security rules and regulations.
- Provides for the care of and reports maintenance deficiencies regarding all DH security equipment and vehicles.
- Monitors access at all gates; verifies approval for all visitors/vendors prior to entry.
- Enters data in computer systems (i.e., access control) regarding day-to-day and permanent access of visitors/vendors onto property. Makes changes as necessary.
- Patrols all roads and surrounding areas to enforce security and safety policies and traffic regulations. Ensures unauthorized people and vehicles are escorted off property. Writes pass-on and incident reports as necessary.
- Maintains accurate log of daily access activities; notes and communicates any challenges to security management.
- Receives, logs and delivers packages/mail to membership and departments as necessary.
- Monitors access control system, CCT system; monitors and responds to residential and DH facilities alarms.
- Responds to emergency situations and fire alarms. Administers CPR and first aid as necessary. Fills out required reports.
- Recovery and relocation of various reptiles.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills include:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 21 years of age with a driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
- CPR/AED certification or earn certification within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to think clearly and to handle emergency situations calmly and methodically.
- Reliable and predictable attendance is required.
- Present a positive, professional image.
- Must be self-motivated and perform responsibilities with a strong customer service orientation. Good interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, employees, members and guests.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Desert Highlands is an EOE.
