Provide safety and security for KidsPeace properties, associates, clients and visitors. Conducts preventative maintenance tasks in compliance with regulations imposed by the authorities having jurisdiction.
High School graduate or equivalent required. Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or other applicable field preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Prior Safety Security experience with work record preferred.
Has and maintains a valid, current driver's license in the state of the work location is required.
Must be able to receive and give detailed information through verbal and written communication. Must be proficient in the English language.
Capable of being trained and able to fully perform and maintain current corporate and departmental certifications such as, but not limited to restraint methodology, CPR, First Aid, etc.
Maintain knowledge of Safety Security Department procedures and equipment.
Complete monthly assigned inspections and drills while continuing to provide a safe and secure working environment. ***
Utilize effective interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills while demonstrating courtesy and patience at all times.
Perform routine activities with minimal supervision, work with interruptions, able to change priorities, provide additional assistance when needed and assist in the training of new hires in the department.
Comply with all appropriate corporate and departmental policies and procedures.
Participate in continuing education training and in-services when applicable, and maintain all departmental and corporate certifications.
Fully perform the currently approved KidsPeace restraint methodology as necessary and when ordered by a licensed professional. Clients may weigh in excess of 250 pounds and may be verbally and/or physically threatening to themselves or others.
All other duties as assigned by management/leadership.
