What You'll Be Responsible For In this role, you will: Abstract complex oncology cases from medical records Review pathology, radiology, laboratory, surgical, and treatment documentation Perform cancer staging utilizing AJCC and TNM methodologies Ensure compliance with Commission on Cancer (CoC), SEER, and state reporting requirements Maintain high-quality registry data and manage edit resolution Conduct follow-up activities and update patient records appropriately Support quality assurance, audits, and accreditation initiatives Contribute to oncology quality reporting and outcomes measurement Partner with physicians, clinical teams, and registry leadership to maintain data integrity and accuracy Required Active ODS (Oncology Data Specialist) credential and/or CTR (Certified Tumor Registrar) credential Minimum of 2 years of cancer registry experience Experience performing full cancer case abstraction Experience with AJCC staging and TNM classification Strong knowledge of oncology terminology and treatment modalities Experience working within cancer registry databases Proficiency with electronic medical records Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy skills Preferred Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Health Sciences, or a related discipline Experience supporting Commission on Cancer accredited programs SEER reporting experience Experience with multiple cancer registry platforms Remote cancer registry experience What Your Resume Should Clearly Demonstrate Our client is seeking experienced oncology registry professionals.
