Lead Firefighter
You will serve as a lead or senior firefighter in a supervisory capacity, ensuring the safety of personnel and successful completion of critical fireground operations.
You will manage shift schedules, provide performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with firesafety regulations.
You will handle personnel issues in accordance with fire department policies and procedures.
You will perform a variety of fire suppression, rescue, emergency medical, and hazardous response duties.
You will interpret the types of hazards and response information available from hazardous material databases, monitoring equipment, computer-based software, MSDS and reference manuals.
You will apply firefighting tactics and strategy related to fire behavior in structures/aircraft, and wildland fire.
You will apply principles of fire streams, use of forcible entry tools, search and rescue techniques, fireground operations, SCBA, interior/exterior operations, ladders, salvage and overhaul.
You will show water rescue techniques, boat operations, search/rescue and dragging operations, and security patrol.
You will maintain emergency services and fire equipment for operational readiness.
