As an Immigration Officer, you will provide guidance, conduct research to enhance policies, and identify, articulate, and pursue suspected immigration benefit fraud.Responsibilities Apply immigration laws and procedures to uncover potential fraud schemes that threaten the integrity of the legal immigration system.Review evidence presented by applicants for immigration benefits.Conduct liaison and collaboration with law enforcement and intelligence agencies regarding immigration fraud.Review policies and procedures related to detection of immigration fraud, public safety, and national security.Conduct research on the impact of enforcement and anti‑fraud related programs, directives, and policies.Prepare responses to inquiries from peers, supervisors, management, or external customers regarding existing immigration enforcement, anti‑fraud actions, programs, or policies.Develop and recommend changes or enhancements to procedures or processes related to anti‑fraud, public safety, and national security programs.Qualifications Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. Time‑in‑grade requirements must be met by 07/27/2026.GS‑12: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS‑11 level, providing the skills needed to perform the above responsibilities.GS‑13: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS‑12 level, providing the skills needed to perform more complex fraud and national security responsibilities.Experience performing the majority of the listed duties for the applicable grade level.#J-18808-Ljbffr
