Advanced Practitioner - Fostering kinship (GEORGIA) Liverpool, EnglandApply with IndeedSalary: GBP40 - GBP40 per hourOur client Liverpool city council is looking for a social work Advanced Practitioner to join their Fostering kinship team.We are looking for a new social worker within the Fostering Families & Friends (Kinship) Assessment team, to specifically assess the suitability of relatives or close family friends to care for children/young people through viability / connected persons and Special Guardianship Order assessments.Candidates must be an experienced Children's Social Worker in Fostering – specifically within Kinship Assessment, having completed SGO assessments previously and possessing strong knowledge of Children's relevant legislation, processes and frameworks, particularly in relation to Looked After Children and kinship.The role includes:Providing high level of risk analysis and completion of detailed analytical Kinship assessmentsRegular statutory visits to all carers, undertaking high-quality sessions, ensuring optimum safeguardingMaking informed child-centred decisions, applying critical reflection and analysis in complex casesMeeting the demands of the service, producing consistent high-quality work to good standard within set timescales and managing court deadlinesSuccessful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS.Our objective is to be an equal opportunities employer and we welcome applications from everyone with suitable skills and ability regardless of race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, gender, disability, sexual orientation, age, religion or belief.
