Location: Athena House, YorkContract: PermanentHours: Part Time – 25 hours per week, worked between 8:00am and 5:00pmSalary: £23,748 - £25,626 (pro rata) (NYP Scale 2-3)Closing Date: 09:00 Friday 7 AugustRole Profile: Traffic Bureau Support OfficerThe OpportunityWe're looking for a Traffic Bureau Support Officer to join our Criminal Justice – Crime Operations team based at Athena House, York.This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to play a key role in supporting North Yorkshire Police's safety camera operations and traffic enforcement processes. Through this work, you will contribute directly to improving road safety across our communities.This role would suit someone with strong administration experience who enjoys working accurately with detailed information, managing competing priorities, and delivering excellent customer service in a busy office environment.Key ResponsibilitiesView and validate offences captured by safety camerasCreate and manage enforcement records and notices, including Notices of Intended Prosecution and Speed Awareness OffersAdminister Fixed Penalty Notices and Road Traffic Offence ReportsProcess responses and follow-up enquiries relating to untraced vehicle ownersMaintain accurate paper and electronic recordsPrepare court files and assist with correspondence relating to speed management processesProvide general administrative support including filing, photocopying and minute-takingWhat We're Looking ForProven administration experience within a busy office environmentStrong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholdersGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPointExcellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy when processing informationAbility to prioritise workloads and meet deadlinesStrong organisational skills and a professional approach to handling confidential informationWhy Join Us?Working for the emergency services is both meaningful and impactful.
