The Regional Recruiter recruits new students to UNG's Corps of Cadets. This person provides accurate and timely information about academic and co‑curricular program offerings, services, costs and financial aid to prospective students, parents, and other influencers, works with the Commandant's Office Staff, Professor of Military Science Staff, and Corps of Cadets during recruiting events, in conjunction with the Assistant Director, Associate Director, and Director to achieve recruiting goals.Please be advised that any offer of employment is contingent upon your eligibility to work in the United States. If you have any questions regarding the visa policy, please contact Monica Arrendale at (706) 867-4470.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for presenting information to tour groups, and communicating with prospective students, parents and/or influencers via phone, e‑mail, or in person.Responsible for recruiting events and activities (high school visits, College Fairs, Academy Day, NLC and Open House) to achieve recruitment goals for both in‑state and out‑of‑state.Assist with SLATE database management for Cadet Recruiting.Assist the Director with analyzing and determining enrollment data.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesProficiency with the SCT Banner student information system and Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Access/PowerPoint/Excel) is desired, but not required.Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to make strong presentations to groups of prospective students and parents.Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, work without supervision, multi‑task, manage workload, and meet deadlines.Required QualificationsMust possess a Bachelor's degree within one year from date of hire.Must possess a valid and current driver's license.Preferred QualificationsAdmissions and/or Financial Aid and/or Sales & Marketing experience highly preferred.Experience working with youth and/or diverse population preferred. General understanding of the college admission process a plus.University of North Georgia graduate and previous member of the Corps of Cadets experience a plus.Prior military experience a plus.Conditions of EmploymentOffers of employment are contingent upon completion of a background investigation including a criminal background check demonstrating your eligibility for employment with the University of North Georgia, as determined by University of North Georgia in its sole discretion, confirmation of the credentials and employment history reflected in your application materials and, if applicable, a satisfactory credit check.
