3rd Shift Dispatcher

Lincoln, AL

Monitors and assigns drivers on-board communication equipment and vehicles to convey freight

Resolves routing issues, responsible for timely delivery of freight, cancellation resolutions, and monitoring driver performance

Dispatch drivers according to published schedules utilizing transportation software and on-board communication systems

Familiarity with a variety of the fields concepts

Monitors and directs daily dispatch activities of drivers, tractors, and trailers

Accurately enters times of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of delivery

Promptly respond to all customer requests with optimal customer service

Review, scan and file paperwork as necessary

Ensure compliance with laws and regulations

Exhibit safety awareness and competence

Skills and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years of transportation related work experience

Proven problem-solving abilities

Excellent communication and organization skills

Communicate clearly in-person and by telephone or other electronic means

Excellent customer service skills, including dealing with difficult situations

Strong PC skills (Microsoft Office Suite) TMW software knowledge

Knowledge of onboarding systems

Creative analytical skills
