Golf Starter / Ranger
White Manor Country Club is seeking a reliable and professional Golf Starter / Ranger to support daily golf operations and ensure an exceptional experience for our members and guests. This position plays a key role in maintaining pace of play, managing the first tee, and upholding club standards on the golf course.
Position Overview:
The Golf Starter / Ranger is responsible for overseeing tee time operations, monitoring pace of play, and providing a high level of member service both on the first tee and throughout the golf course.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize the first tee, ensuring groups tee off on time
- Communicate clearly with members and guests regarding course rules, policies, and expectations
- Monitor and maintain proper pace of play across the golf course
- Patrol the course to assist players and address any on-course issues
- Provide a welcoming and professional first impression to all golfers
- Coordinate with the golf shop staff regarding tee sheet updates and delays
- Enforce club policies in a respectful and professional manner
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior golf course experience required (starter, ranger, or similar role preferred)
- Strong knowledge of golf etiquette and pace of play standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in all situations
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
Compensation & Benefits:
- $16.00 per hour
- Limited golf privileges
