Job ID: 10419883 | Amazon.com Services LLCThe Security and Loss Prevention Expert (SLP Expert) is a key leadership position within Amazon's Security and Loss Prevention (S&LP) team. This role leads efforts to efficiently and effectively provide end‑to‑end S&LP services across all assigned operational business units and reports to the SLP Cluster Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify vulnerabilities and conduct root‑cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.Actively monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.Serve as the department's liaison and security/crisis management subject‑matter expert, keeping site leadership informed on key issues, strategies, and performance.Identify, promote, and implement security best practices while partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, incident response planning, facilitation, and management.Travel domestically regionally up to 50% of the time when applicable.Perform physical requirements including lifting up to 49 lb.; frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach; stand/​walk for up to 12 hrs during shifts; work in environments with variable noise, temperature, weather; and continually climb and descend stairs at sites with stairs.Cover 24/7 operations and work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.A Day in the LifeAs an SLP Expert you will join a team of S&LP professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple units within a dedicated geographic area. You will conduct regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security‑related incidents, and loss events. During investigations you will collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews. Your findings contribute to identifying vulnerabilities and driving mitigating measures. You will help maintain the physical integrity of our sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of systems and working with subject‑matter experts and external suppliers to maintain functionality. Additionally, you will identify and act on initiatives improving our physical security infrastructure, contribute to budgetary planning for external suppliers, collaborate with stakeholders across levels on high‑impact initiatives, and deliver loss prevention education and awareness programs to teams across all management levels while managing the implementation of our S&LP plan.About the TeamWorldwide Operations Security (WWOS) is the global organization that supports field Loss Prevention and is designed to support Amazon's Worldwide Operations, as well as affiliate and retail businesses, by creating and maintaining a work environment that is both prepared and secure through global security centers of excellence staffed by subject‑matter experts in people and asset protection. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
