2026 Salary Range is $89,508-$138,370 yearly (includes locality).

In this position, you will serve as an AFSC multidisciplinary engineer for systems engineering policy, engineering analysis, and technical process improvement across maintenance complexes and the supply chain engineering organizations.

Primary duties involve HMR activities associated predominately with Hexavalent Chromium reduction efforts, as well as Industrial Process Control (IPC) responsibilities. Incumbent must be capable of leading medium-sized teams, be a self-starter, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to manage tasks and deadlines, capable of planning projects and meeting key milestones, adept at analyzing and manipulating complex data sets, and willing to engage and brief senior leaders. The ideal candidate possesses a chemical engineering background with industrial process and process control experience. Experience in implementing process changes, accomplishing process improvements, IPC assessments, and familiarity with the environmental and occupational health elements of industrial processes is essential.

REQUIREMENTS:

- The work requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor's level from an ABET accredited institution is required

- This position may be designated as an acquisition position covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Professional knowledge of engineering and technical management. Knowledge of Air Force and AFMC command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships.

2. Knowledge and mastery of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of the range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of one or more important public programs.

4. Knowledge of the AFMC planning, programming, and budgeting system.

5. Knowledge and skill in writing and speaking effectively to communicate technical and management information with either technical or management personnel.

6. Ability to gather, assemble and analyze facts, draws conclusions, and devises solutions to problems.1. Knowledge of a wide range of advanced multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, and techniques to apply experimental theories and new developments to problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods, and to plan and execute specialized programs of marked difficulty, responsibility, and significance.
