ResponsibilitiesAs a Special Response Specialist, you will collaborate with case teams, the Department for Children and Families (DCF), law enforcement, and other stakeholders in an effort to locate absent youth who are absent from placement. You will review case files, conduct social media searches, and contact family members and friends of the youth. You will engage with community partners and attend multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss strategies for locating and supporting these vulnerable youth. You will complete Human Trafficking assessments when necessary, ensuring that all efforts are trauma‑informed and culturally sensitive. Documenting your findings and maintaining close communication with agencies and families are crucial aspects of your role.QualificationsWe are looking for someone who has a passion for investigative work, is compassionate and empathetic for the challenges faced by youth in foster care, organized, and can effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
