Overview The Plumbing & Fire Protection Design Manager, acting as a senior project leader and second-in-command to the Associate, is responsible for overseeing and managing all team functions and operations. This role involves leading a team of Design professionals to achieve the timely and budget-conscious completion of high-quality schematics and layouts based on solid design principles.Responsibilities Lead and manage all team functions and operations under the direct supervision of the Associate.Supervise a team of Design professionals with the goal of delivering high-quality schematics and layouts within specified timelines and budget constraints.Manage all project functions of the design team, including surveys, calculations, selections, and layouts across all project phases.Play a supervisory role in effective communication with peers, supervisors, vendors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders.Direct the construction administration process, overseeing shop drawing processes, field observations, and reports oversight.Assist the Associate in training, development, and project execution of the project team.Qualifications Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Designer, with at least 2 years in a Lead Designer Role within a professional engineering project team.Minimum of 4 years of experience leading engineering projects of various sizes and complexities.4-year Engineering degree.Professional Engineering License preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).Highly organized and composed under pressure.Proven project management ability, with experience managing direct reports to strict timelines with multiple projects.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.Working knowledge of AutoCAD & REVIT.Keen eye for detail.#J-18808-Ljbffr
