PT Security Guard - Sotomayor Cornerstone

Maintains front door security and supervises Sotomayor Community Center. Ensure adherence to program and facilities a secure and functional environment for the program participants and staff.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitors all participants, staff and visitors entering and leaving the facility.Answers telephone and directs calls to the appropriate staff member and/or department.Welcomes and introduces new participants as they arrive and, in the absence of an onsite coordinator.Conducts vertical tours of the facility.Manages fire safety and other emergency procedures.Makes daily rounds of the center.Maintains daily, visitor and resident sign in logs.Prepares incident reports and enters them into the electronic data collection system.In an emergency contacts EMS, FDNY, or NYPD to address on-site incidents.Contacts Program Director regarding on-site emergencies.Attends professional development training in order to ensure all certifications are up to date.Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by PN Management.Qualifications8hr & 16 hr Security Guard Certification.NYS Security Guard License preferred.High School Diploma or GED preferred or previous experience.High School Diploma (Required).Licenses & Certifications16 Hour Training (Required).8 Hour Training (Required).Security Guard License (Preferred).Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
