Job Description: Welcome Center Security AttendantReports To: PrincipalDept/School: Assigned Campus(es)Employment: 200 Day Contract, flexible hoursCalendar: 10 months /200 daysSalary Grade: Grade 28 (classified scale)Date Revised: 3/2/2026QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to clearly communicate.Ability to give and provide clear directions.Stand, reach, and stretch the majority of the day as needed.Basic technology skills, including internet access.Key Job ResponsibilitiesCommunication: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with students, staff, and visitors.Character: Ability to remain calm under pressure, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment.Access Control & Visitor Management: Screen all visitors, check identification, issue visitor badges, and ensure unauthorized individuals do not enter.Record Keeping: Maintain visitor logs, incident reports, and daily security logs.Access Control: Staff the front desk, verify credentials, screen visitors/vendors, and issue access materials.Surveillance & Patrols: Monitor security systems (cameras, alarms) and conduct regular patrols to identify safety hazards or suspicious activity.Visitor Management: Greet guests, provide directions, and manage sign-in/sign-out procedures.Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to incidents, coordinating with emergency services and directing traffic or personnel.Reporting: Complete daily activity logs and incident reports, documenting security-related findings.Tools/Equipment UsedStandard office equipmentPostureProlonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twistingMotionConstant walking, grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reachingLiftingOccasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)EnvironmentWork outside (prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures, sunlight, and humidity); constant exposure to noise and vehicle exhaust; work around moving vehicles and on slippery and uneven surfaces.Mental DemandsMaintain emotional control under stressThis document describes the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
