As a Professional Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and overseeing various engineering projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for diverse projectsConduct feasibility studies and provide technical expertise to solve complex engineering problemsManage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completionCollaborate with cross‑functional teams, including architects, contractors, and other stakeholdersPerform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure quality controlPrepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and regulatory agenciesStay up‑to‑date with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changesMentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their professional developmentEnsure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standardsQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseMinimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with a proven track record of successful project deliveryProficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCADWorking knowledge and experience related to traffic signal operation and controller programmingAdvanced Training in Maintenance of Traffic (Temporary Traffic Control)Working knowledge and experience with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control DevicesWorking knowledge and experience with the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Guide on Geometric DesignIntimate knowledge of a Department of Transportation including their policies, practices, and applicable regulationsStrong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practicesExcellent problem‑solving and critical thinking skillsExperience in project management and team leadershipProficiency in technical writing and documentationFamiliarity with construction processes and materialsStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environmentWillingness and desire to work above and beyond the minimum performance and goal requirementsPhysical And Mental Job QualificationsProlonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to travel as needed.Additional InformationJ.S.
