QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to relate well to children.
- Good physical health.
- Knowledge of motor vehicle rules and regulations.
- Familiar with safe walking and pedestrian procedures.
- Such alternatives to the above quali?cations as the Superintendent of Schools may ?nd appropriate and acceptable.
- Reports to the Principal / Assistant Principal.
- Report directly to assigned crossing station, punctually, and remain there until the conclusion of assignment.
- Ensure that children use proper crossing location and that no children are in the street while tra?c is moving.
- Be alert for present or potential tra?c hazards in the area surrounding the assigned crossing.
- Submit to the Director of Finance and Operations a written report of any such hazard with a recommendation for remedial steps to be taken.
- Report for duty in furnished safety vest.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the Assistant Superintendent or Building Principal.
