Associate Security Specialist (C)Job Location: Robert Skinner Filtration Plant, Winchester, CAAt the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, we deliver reliable water to a region with 19 million people and rely on a team of innovators, problem‑solvers, and collaborators who make it all possible. There is currently 1 position for Associate Security Specialist at the Robert Skinner Filtration Plant.Job DescriptionThe Associate Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the protection of Metropolitan's assets, employees, and visitors. The role will be based in Winchester and support conveyance and distribution facilities across Riverside County.What You'll DoAct as a Subject Matter Expert: Provide specialized expertise in physical security, large‑scale infrastructure protection, investigations, and loss prevention.Lead & Oversee Personnel: Direct regular, temporary, and contract security staff across multiple facilities.Manage Daily Operations: Coordinate and review daily work assignments to ensure seamless security coverage.Schedule9/80, Monday through Friday with every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day (7:00 am - 5:00 pm), 8 hours per day every other Friday (7:00 am - 4:00 pm)Employment Standards & Minimum QualificationsEducation & Experience: High school diploma or equivalency and nine years of relevant experience; or associate's degree and seven years; or bachelor's degree and five years.Relevant Experience: Working experience performing investigations and working as professional security or law enforcement directly related to providing large‑scale infrastructure protection.Certifications, Licenses, & Registration RequirementsValid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent required at time of application.Desirable QualificationsState licensing as a Private InvestigatorValid Certified Protection Professional (CPP)BenefitsExcellent medical, dental, life, vision plans.Deferred compensation via a 401(k) plan with matching contribution and a 457 plan.Retirement benefits under the California Public Employees' Retirement System.Tuition reimbursement.Training and advancement opportunities.Excellent working environment.Public transportation reimbursements.Equal Opportunity EmployerThe Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a state‑established cooperative that provides water to 19 million people across six counties.
