A high‑school diploma or GED and two years of experience in child and family services required. We will teach you the rest!Day in the Life as a Special Response Team SpecialistAs a Special Response Specialist, you will collaborate with case teams, DCF, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to locate absent youth who are absent from placement. You will review case files, conduct social media searches, and contact family members and friends of the youth. You will engage with community partners and attend multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss strategies for locating and supporting these vulnerable youth. You will complete Human Trafficking assessments when necessary, ensuring that all efforts are trauma‑informed and culturally sensitive. Documenting your findings and maintaining close communication with agencies and families are crucial aspects of your role.What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who has a passion for investigative work, who is compassionate and empathetic for the challenges faced by youth in foster care, who is organized and can effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and who has a desire to engage and advocate for at‑risk youth.
