Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing, employee‑owned company supporting Department of War (DoW) weapon system development and test, is searching for a talented Real Time Systems Engineer to join our development team. We are looking for an engineer or scientist with expertise in Computer‑in‑the‑Loop (CIL), Software‑in‑the‑Loop (SWIL), Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HWIL), and Directed Energy (DE) weapon software and firmware/Field‑Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) development. The candidate will work with a team of scientists and engineers to develop and test DE weapons. Activities will include hard‑and soft‑realtime software development and test, hardware control algorithm development, and integration of control and monitoring software with mixed signal systems. Duties will include coordination across multiple teams for planning, execution, and reporting of software/firmware activities as part of an Agile development team.Required SkillsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field3+ years of experience in at least one of Computer‑in‑the‑Loop (CIL), Software‑in‑the‑Loop, Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop systemsExperience with realtime operating systemsExperience programming in C++Experience with Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) development using VHDL/VerilogExperience programming in PythonExperience writing hardware/software interfaces and hardware control algorithmsFamiliarity with the physics of passive electro‑optic or active laser systemsActive Secret clearanceDesired QualificationsMaster's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Optical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another relevant technical fieldFamiliarity with objected oriented design and developmentExperience with infrared imaging and tracking systemsExperience with Linux operating systems, such as Red Hat, CentOS or UbuntuExperience with high‑speed camera interfaces, such as CameraLink, 10 GigE VisionExperience developing High Energy Laser (HEL) weapon system software/firmwareRadiance Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
