Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Fire Protection Engineer to support a high-impact healthcare infrastructure environment within the military health system. This individual will act as a technical leader responsible for designing, evaluating, and overseeing fire protection systems across complex facilities. The role combines design engineering, compliance oversight, and field execution, ensuring all systems meet stringent healthcare and federal safety standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in fire protection design, thrives in a regulated environment, and can effectively communicate technical findings to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.Must-HavesBachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering10+ years of hands‑on fire protection experience in healthcare environmentsAt least 3 years of recent experience (within the last 4 years)Direct experience with design, maintenance, or major repair of fire protection systemsStrong knowledge of:Healthcare compliance standards (Joint Commission, DoD, AHJ requirements)Ability to lead projects and solve complex engineering problems independentlyExperience preparing:Construction documents, schematics, and engineering reportsHydraulic calculations and system specificationsPlussesProfessional Engineer (PE) License – Fire Protection (highly preferred)Advanced expertise across all major fire protection systemsExperience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, or similar CAD/BIM toolsStrong knowledge of federal, state, and municipal codesExcellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsExperience supporting DoD or federal healthcare projectsDay-to-DayLead fire protection engineering efforts across healthcare infrastructure projectsDesign and review systems : Fire alarms, suppression systems, detection systemsCreate detailed engineering deliverables : Plans, specs, calculations, material lists, and reportsConduct life safety and code compliance evaluationsPerform field inspections and site assessmentsSupport commissioning and functional system testingPartner with project managers to ensure compliance and project successRespond to technical RFIs per codes and DHA standardsEvaluate project designs based on : Code compliance, Effectiveness, Lifecycle costTravel to project sites for inspections and reportingDeliver clear and concise technical reports for both engineers and non-technical stakeholders#J-18808-Ljbffr
