Overview We're working with a well-established MEP consulting firm in Syracuse that has built a strong, steady pipeline of higher education and institutional work across Central New York. They're looking to add a Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer to a tight-knit team where you won't get buried—you'll have real ownership of projects and direct exposure to clients. This is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on design work but also wants to be involved in the bigger picture—coordination, decision-making, and seeing projects through.What you'll be doing:Responsibilities Design plumbing and/or fire protection systems for higher ed and institutional projectsDevelop layouts, calculations, and construction documents (AutoCAD/Revit)Coordinate with internal MEP teams as well as architects and external partnersParticipate in client meetings and site visitsTake on increasing project responsibility over time (not just drafting)Qualifications 3–8+ years of experience in plumbing and/or fire protection designBackground in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience with AutoCAD and/or RevitAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate with clientsAny project management experience is a plus (not required)Benefits Strong backlog of local, stable project work (no chasing jobs)Smaller team environment—more visibility, more impactClear path to take on more responsibility if that's what you wantCompetitive compensation with flexibility depending on experienceThis is an in-office role at their Syracuse headquarters.#J-18808-Ljbffr
