Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Trial Counsel in Charleston, SC, to join their personal injury team. This position involves representing clients across South Carolina and requires an active South Carolina Bar license in good standing. The ideal candidate will possess strong courtroom skills, proven litigation experience, and a dedication to client service.Duties Represent clients in personal injury cases from initial litigation through settlement or verdict.Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, motions, and legal memoranda.Conduct and defend depositions.Handle mediations, hearings, and trial proceedings, including jury selection, opening/closing statements, and examinations.Collaborate with paralegals and litigation support staff for thorough case preparation.Requirements Active membership in the South Carolina Bar, in good standing.Ideally 1+ years of litigation/trial experience in personal injury or related areas, but willing to train those with less experience.Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills.Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications Active South Carolina Bar license.Skills Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.Proficient in legal research and writing.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Benefits Comprehensive health insurance.Retirement savings plan.Professional development opportunities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
