Part Time Public Transit Dispatcher / DriverGeneral FunctionsDispatcher – Assists under the general supervision of the Public Transit Director in the efficient operation of the department through the performance of various administrative support functions, dispatching, and scheduling rides and drivers for the program.Driver – Responsible for the operation of buses and related motor vehicles in the transportation of persons, some with medical or developmental disabilities. The role includes maintaining passenger discipline and ensuring passenger safety; maintaining mileage, vehicle service, and related records. Employees in this class are required to have knowledge of and comply with all laws and regulations concerning the operation of motor vehicles. Supervision is received from the Director, with work being reviewed through the safe and satisfactory operation of buses and related vehicles.Minimum QualificationsGraduation from a senior high school or equivalent.Must be 18 years of age.Valid Nebraska driver's license.Pass a pre-employment drug test and throughout employment.Must pass a DOT/FTA Drug and Alcohol Test within sixty (60) days of employment and be subject to random DOT/FTA Drug and Alcohol Tests.Must become certified in CPR, AED and Basic First Aid through the American Heart Association and maintain certification through appropriate refresher training.Starting hourly wage: $15.76 or more, depending on experience; starting hourly wage is changing to $16.08 as of July 1st.#J-18808-Ljbffr
