Service Dispatcher
The Service Dispatcher will work directly with the Dispatch Team, the Service Administration Manager, the Service Managers, and other department leaders to ensure the alignment of scheduling, dispatching processes, and operational goals of Dallas Mechanical Group. This role is crucial in organizing the day-to-day scheduling operations and accurately following dispatch processes, to ensure the overall success of the Service Department's responsibilities. The Service Dispatcher will be involved in all scheduling related activities, including coordinating technician assignments, managing timelines, communicating with customers and field personnel, and working with Service Managers to ensure timely completion of dispatching tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with Dispatch team, Service Administration Manager and Service Managers to ensure efficient scheduling and dispatching of HVAC Technicians
- Assist in running reports and keeping various information up to date
- Responsible for the day-to-day dispatching and coordination of startup work and service calls
- Ensure all dispatch processes and workflows are up to date and compliant with company standards
- Answer phone line and set up call requests
- Regularly review dispatch processes and workflows to identify areas of improvement
- Work with Service Administration Manager to enhance efficiency and effectiveness regarding startup dispatch processes and workflows.
- Participate in department meetings as requested
- Perform additional assignments as requested and maintain a teamwork attitude
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proven experience in dispatching, preferably in HVAC or service-oriented industry.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent customer service skills and abilities.
- Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks.
