Gate House AttendantClassification: Non-ExemptRole DescriptionThe Member Care Team (MCT) is the first and last impression Dallas Country Club members and guests have of the Club and MCT is responsible for creating a friendly and welcoming environment that adds extra eyes and ears for Dallas Country Club.Dallas Country Club is seeking individuals who have a passion for hospitality to ensure Dallas Country Club is a place where all feel welcomed and safe. The position is ideal for a welcoming and dynamic individual with great service skills, awareness and the ability to engage with members, guests, vendors, and management.Key ResponsibilitiesGreeting Members and GuestsKnowledge of the Club business; ability to answer Club wide questionsEffectively respond to Members' questions, comments or suggestions in a timely mannerMaintain gate access databaseVerify and notify staff of requested/approved reciprocal requestsPromptly answer and process all submitted Club maintenance requestsBe present by patrolling designated areasProvide customer service to members and guests by answering questions, providing directions and addressing or directing concernsEnhance the perception of safety and security by having a visible and alert presenceAssist with first aid and emergency situations if needed; training will be providedProvide support for special events as neededRepresent Dallas Country Club in a professional and hospitable manner while on the jobComplete daily activity reports and other assignments as specified by your shift supervisorOperate a two-way radioOperate closed circuit camera systemOperate a golf cartReview daily schedules of events, visitors, etc.Experience, Skills, and Knowledge2+ years' experience in customer service or similar work-related fieldHospitality field experience preferredMust be 17 years of age or olderValid driver's licenseProficiency in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, ExcelCompetencies and QualitiesAbility to focus in a multitasking environmentExcellent organizational skillsSelf-sufficient and ability to work with little supervisionTeam playerProfessional appearance, with a pleasant and mature demeanorEffective communication skills, both oral and written; exceptional telephone etiquetteAbility to be on your feet directing and greeting Members and guests for significant lengths of timeAbility to communicate respectfully and effectively using courtesy, tact, and good judgementAbility to work independently with general supervisionAbility to work outside shifts enduring all types of weather conditionsAdequate hearing, vision and physical ability to perform the work assignedAbility to perform routine, repetitive activitiesAbility and willingness to follow directionsAbility and willingness to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to perform assigned work independently and responsibly as part of a teamAbility to follow verbal and written instructions, including following established safety rulesLift and transport objects weighing 30 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionallyEmployees are required to use appropriate safety equipment and follow standard safety practicesDallas Country Club is an Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate based on sex (including gender identity, pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), gender, race, religion, ethnicity, national origin, political affiliation, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, marital status, age, sexual orientation, military service, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state, or local laws.
