Enters data into system to update database and makes corrections; enters new data and deletes old data; maintains records on calls and incidents. You must meet all safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to the essential functions of this position and attend training sessions to stay current on standard operating procedures.QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED equivalent required, must be 18 years of age or older.No experience required; all training is completed on the job.Must be available to work all shifts, including days or nights, weekends and holidays.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSOn the job paid training post-employment; must successfully complete LEADS Operator Certification, Association of Public Safety Communications Officers (APCO) Basic Telecommunicator Certification, and APCO Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification.DUTIESThis position requires exceptional skills in using computer/radio and telephone systems. You must have the ability to deal with a variety of variables in somewhat unfamiliar context, copy records precisely without error, gather collate and classify information about people, data or things.
