Pay: $16.50 per hour.Company OverviewHarvard Protection Services is a private security services provider dedicated to responsive, customer-focused service.Job SummarySecurity Officers provide professional customer-focused security and life safety services, maintaining a visible presence and safeguarding people and property.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a professional demeanor, assisting customers, employees, visitors, and guests.Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility or building.Monitor the environment to detect suspicious and unsafe activity.Become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic and know customers, tenants, visitors, and guests.Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, guests professionally.Answer all phones in a professional manner.Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.Know the facility/building policies and enforce them within position limits.Perform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal within customer requirements.Follow established emergency action plans and procedures.Monitor alarms and systems.Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as directed.Knowledge and Skill RequirementsState or municipality mandated security officer licenses.Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalency.Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period.Reliable means of communication and transportation.Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat professional appearance.Ability to write routine correspondence, logs, and incident reports.Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience is helpful.CompensationCompetitive hourly pay rate: $16.50 per hour.Equal Opportunity StatementHarvard Protection Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer/M/F/Veteran/Disabilities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
