ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: As a Senior Loss Prevention Specialist, you will work in one of our Stores to help protect our assets by preventing theft and reducing shrink.Key Responsibilities & Essential FunctionsLoss Prevention / SecurityDetects / resolves external theft by identifying, investigating, resolving theft incidentsConducts surveillances, detains and interviews persons apprehended in shoplifting incidentsRecovers assets; makes safe apprehensionsEducates store Partners and management on Loss Prevention-related matters to improve theft awareness and maintain a safe store environmentConducts inspections of physical security standardsInterviewing / InvestigatingUses advanced interviewing techniquesIdentifies / assists with internal cases by conducting surveillance, researching, and investigating the incidentsReporting & DocumentationWrites / documents case reports for theft incidents; writes weekly activity reportsProvides input to LP Leadership on annual budgeting, staffing, training, LPS certification, scheduling, and feedback on performanceThe responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Employees may be required to perform other job-related tasks as requested by their supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodations.Qualifications & Key RequirementsWork Experience3 - 4 years of experience in investigative auditing and / or retail Loss PreventionExperience in / extensive knowledge of investigative techniquesKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge in the areas of theft investigation and interviewingGeneral knowledge of video systemsAdvanced PC skills including MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and computer software programs / applications required by the jobGood interviewing skillsExcellent written / verbal communication skills; bilingual language skills a plusAbility to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks; attention to detailAbility to work with highly confidential informationAbility to confront individuals in a calm and diplomatic mannerAbility to work in a team environmentEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree a plusPhysical Demands & Working ConditionsFunction in a fast-paced, retail, office environmentTravel by car or airplane with overnight staysLift up to 20 lbs on a regular basisWork extended hours and rotating schedulesAccess and move around all areas of the store quicklyMake theft apprehensionsConduct visual surveillance of the storeHave a reliable source of transportation (required)Obtain / maintain a valid driver's license (required)The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
