Security Officer W/Dl

The Menominee Casino Resort Security Department is responsible for protecting the assets, guests, employees and vendors of the Menominee Casino Resort.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Reporting violations to the Security Supervisor
  • Submitting written reports for emergencies and criminal activity
  • Providing escorts and observing guests and employees for safety
  • Ensuring a safe environment for guests and employees
  • Dispatching security and emergency personnel during emergencies
  • Informing guests of monthly promotions
  • Ensuring safe escort of company monies
  • Interacting with guests and employees respectfully
  • Maintaining guest service standards
  • Facilitating information flow through meetings
  • Accepting identification from underage individuals
  • Maintaining attendance records
  • Transporting new hire gaming employees
  • Transporting Slot or Vault department employees
  • Maintaining cleanliness of company vehicles
  • Conducting safety checks on company vehicles
  • Communicating with departments and security colleagues
  • Maintaining activity logs in Security Control
  • Acting as a telephone switchboard operator
  • Logging incoming phone calls
  • Multitasking and operating a computer in Security Control

Qualification requirements include:

Good organizational, writing, and reading skills

Understanding and working knowledge with computers and typing skills

Excellent communication skills

High School Diploma or equivalency

Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license

Must pass CPR/First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator Training

Special consideration for post-high school education in security, law enforcement, criminal justice, or related fields

Criminal background minimum requirements include no convictions for sex offenses, felonies, gambling-related crimes, theft, fraud, domestic violence, or drug offenses

Ability to read and comprehend documents

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement

Ability to apply common sense reasoning

Physical demands include talking, hearing, standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lifting up to seventy pounds

Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Shall be in good physical condition with no physical limitations and able to patrol in various weather conditions

Work environment includes exposure to outside weather conditions and moderate to loud noise levels
