Job Details

Unarmed Security Officer

Part Time Shifts Available - Pay Rate: $23/hr.

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for day-to-day security operations at client facilities. Officers serve as the primary contact point for clients, ensuring adherence to Post Orders and reporting violations of security policy or procedure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide security support and guidance to clients and staff

• Ensure compliance with Post Orders and directives

• Monitor and report violations or suspicious activities, including:

• Access control procedures

• Credential/access ID usage

• Unauthorized presence in restricted areas

• Deviations from approved patrol routes

• Unauthorized photography, recording, or removal of assets

• Support internal security team operations (situational awareness, threat/risk monitoring)

• Assist with desk operations (watch operations)

• Prepare clear, concise written reports

Candidate Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen, 21+ years of age

• High school diploma or GED required

• Valid State Guard Card

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

• 2+ years of related experience (Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or similar)

• Customer/client engagement experience

• Preferred: experience in threat intelligence collection and reporting

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to engage professionally with VIPs and special visitors

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk premises-including outdoor areas-and climb multiple flights of stairs during patrols

• Ability to lift, drag, and carry 50 pounds or more as needed for operational duties or emergencies

Technical Skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel

• Ability to create temporary badges for visitors and employees

Scheduling & Flexibility

• Must be flexible with 24-48-hour schedule changes due to weather or safety conditions

Customer Service Expectations

• Must be able to professionally engage with: Public visitors, Clients and special guests, Client employees, Fellow staff members
