Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-time, first-level supervision for full-time employees in the Pipe Shop and related maintenance operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop plans for hazardous energy control and safe work practices during outages or repair work.
  • Ensure hazards are analyzed and identified in accordance with OSHA requirements.
  • Ensure corrective action is taken for deficiencies in domestic water, critical water, steam distribution, condensate return, sanitary sewer, and stormwater drainage systems.
  • Plan work proactively to repair or replace systems identified through facility condition assessment reports.
  • Supervise permanent and temporary employees in pipe and laundry/dietetics areas.
  • Install, maintain, and repair piping and plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Install, maintain, and repair laundry and dietetic equipment.
  • Ensure proper tools and materials are available to complete assigned work.
  • Manage multiple maintenance contracts, equipment purchases, and supply purchases.
  • Serve as a purchase card holder and reconcile charges, or supervise the reconciliation process, to ensure all reconciliations are completed on time and according to policy.
