OverviewAstrion has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Shift Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Technician supporting the Civilian Division at the Kennedy Space Center, FL. This full‑time representative position is responsible for performing in‑field and laboratory NDE inspections for Kennedy Space Center and the United States Space Force 45th Space Wing at Canaveral Space Force Station. The role requires U.S. citizenship and a flexible 2nd shift schedule. Travel may be required as needed. Location: Kennedy Space Center, FL.Required QualificationsHigh School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and completion of related NDE technical training curriculumTwo or more years of experience in Nondestructive TestingMust have a Florida Driver's licenseMinimum of four NDE Level II certification in accordance with ANSI practice (SNT‑TC‑1A or MIL‑STD‑410E)Ability to pass and maintain a security clearanceDesired QualificationsAbility to work as part of a teamAble to work in enclosed areas and heights up to 500 feetAble to follow written and oral instructionsAble to withstand stress of repetitive tasks and pressure of critical deadlinesMust be able to read, comprehend and follow prescribed proceduresComputer literateResponsibilitiesIndependently perform tasks and provide guidance to trainees, Level I and Level II employees engaged in field or laboratory NDE inspection activitiesFollow written work instructionsSetup, standardize, and operate NDE test equipmentInterpret results of NDE inspections performed on equipment, systems and flight hardwarePerform tests and interpret results utilizing NDE methods such as Radiography, Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Leak Detection, Visual/Optical (CCTV/CWI) and InfraredPerform preventive and corrective maintenancePerform work assigned with responsible NDE engineering or managementSafely perform all work in compliance with laboratory best practices and local policies and proceduresPerform tasks as directed#J-18808-Ljbffr
