Human Intelligence Collector – Army National GuardIntelligence is crucial to the security of our nation. By gathering information about an adversary's intentions, strengths, vulnerabilities, and capabilities, the military can plan, prepare, and defend against potential attacks. As a Human Intelligence Collector you will earn a security clearance and apply your strategic, cognitive, and language skills to obtain Intel from friendly and hostile sources.Your duties may include conducting intelligence gathering missions involving human sources; interrogating and debriefing; developing intelligence gathering and collection missions and interrogation plans; advising military organizations based on intelligence gathering; and coordinating with federal agencies.Job DutiesScreen human intelligence sources and documentsDebrief and interrogate human intelligence sourcesParticipate in human intelligence operationsAnalyze and prepare intelligence reportsSkills & Learning OpportunitiesHuman Intelligence analysisUtilize premier digital and analytical tools to gather information and create products for the CommanderUse sophisticated mapping tools, intelligence networks, and systems to identify evolving threats on the battlefieldSpeak in foreign languagesGather and analyze informationThink, speak, and write clearlyHave an outgoing personalityProficiency in reading maps and chartsThrough your training you will develop the skills and experience to pursue a civilian career in research or business planning, or work for government agencies.Training and EducationTraining consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, 6 to 18 months of language training, and 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT).
