Overview Under general supervision in a security role, the Patrol Officer is responsible for the Association member's safety and security within the Covenant area of Rancho Santa Fe. Our Officers conduct vehicle and foot patrols in the community and respond to varied calls for assistance. This includes, but is not limited to; alarm activations, suspicious persons and vehicles, trespassing, theft investigations, conduct physical security checks of the members' and Association properties, and observe and report criminal activity to law enforcement agencies as required.Responsibilities Conduct vehicle and foot patrols in the community.Respond to calls for assistance including alarm activations, suspicious persons and vehicles, trespassing, and theft investigations.Perform physical security checks of members' and Association properties.Observe and report criminal activity to law enforcement agencies as required.Qualifications Must have graduated from California P.O.S.T. approved Police/Sheriff Academy and/or California P.O.S.T. approved Level I Reserve Police Academy.Able to obtain BSIS Guard and Firearms Cards; BSIS Baton and Chemical Agent Cards.Have an unexpired California Class C driver's license with a good driving record.Prior police patrol or military police experience preferred.Have effective oral and written communication skills in English.Pass comprehensive background investigation and pre-employment testing including drug testing.Professional and pleasant demeanor a must.Ability to work varied shifts on a rotating basis, including nights, holidays and weekends.HOURLY RATE: $28.00All offers are contingent upon a successful background check as well as a drug screening.
