Juvenile Court AssistantJefferson County is hiring a part‑time Juvenile Court Assistant to join the Juvenile Services Department at the Courthouse. This position provides essential support to our juvenile justice and diversion programs by monitoring low‑risk youth, assisting probation counselors, coordinating truancy cases, and facilitating Cognitive Behavioral Programs. The role also supports the Juvenile Diversion Program and Guardian ad Litem Program, helping connect youth and families with resources that encourage accountability and positive change.ResponsibilitiesMonitor low‑risk youth and track case progress.Assist probation counselors with case plan support and monitor caseloads.Coordinate truancy cases and related interventions.Facilitate Cognitive Behavioral Programs for participants.Support the Juvenile Diversion Program and Guardian ad Litem Program.Connect youth and families with resources that encourage accountability and positive change.Minimum Qualifications :Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.Experience supporting probation counselors, tracking juvenile offenders, and monitoring caseloads.Education and/or Experience :Associate's Degree (AA) in Criminal Justice or Social Services (or equivalent).Minimum of five (5) years experience working with juveniles in a formal or volunteer setting.Hours & Compensation :Part‑time, 20 hours per week, UFCW position, Grade 26. Hourly rate: $26.66–$31.83 (DOE). Medical benefits, including dental and vision, and retirement through Washington State DRS.
